Erika Hilton reported that she submitted a request to create a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission on Big Techs, with the aim of investigating, according to her, abuses by companies like Meta, responsible for Instagram, during the elections. She stated that foreign companies would be manipulating algorithms to favor political positions and harm candidates, and said there would be indications of interference by foreign billionaires in Brazilian elections. Hilton pointed out that the voting could influence the end of the 6x1 scale, the continuity of Pix, Brazilian control over rare earths, and the rights of women and girls to their own image, their own bodies, and the vote. She claimed to be gathering the 171 signatures necessary for the request for the companies to be investigated, regardless of the ballot results. The deputy also defended Brazil's sovereignty and criticized what she described as abuses by foreign companies that monopolize the internet. In the end, she called for support for Lula on the 25th and accused a system of trying to enslave the population, seize the country's wealth, and colonize it. #CPI #BigTechs #Eleições2023 (translated)

Stefan Thumann wrote in part 5 of his series "Why Donaustahl" that numerous Chinese and other foreign accounts had commented on his post. He suspected that he had struck a sensitive point in the global industry. It's not just about producing an electric motor in Germany, but about controlling an independent supply chain for rare earths and their processing, independent of China. Thumann wrote that this undermines the monopoly that the communists have built up against the West and weakens China's leverage in an impending major conflict. The Chinese side relies on being able to interrupt the supply chain if necessary; Donaustahl GmbH is thwarting this plan, he explained. #Lieferkette #Industrie #Energie (translated)

Maranello Paddock indicated that Ferrari had confirmed that its 2027 single-seater would be very different from the 2026 model, particularly due to significant aerodynamic and regulatory changes. According to the account, the on-track performance at the end of the season would not allow predictions for the following year's early performance: an engine improvement at Maranello would not guarantee that the car would be as competitive as this year's model. These statements were allegedly made during a YouTube live session by Auto Racer, relayed by Ferrari News Italia. #Ferrari #Formule1 #Aérodynamique (translated)

Guille G. Alfonsín described the presentation of the Tesla Roadster as a very effective advertising maneuver to showcase the company's technical capabilities and attract attention, although he noted that the vehicle presented did not match the 2+2 convertible electric sports car reserved by customers in 2017. According to what he wrote, the model had initially been promised for 2020 and, nine years later, Tesla announced another two years of waiting. Alfonsín highlighted the engineering of the demonstration but warned that marketing a vehicle capable of controlled flight would require aeronautical certifications and operating authorizations, in addition to road homologation. He also raised doubts about the use on open roads of fans that generate aerodynamic lift by sucking air underneath the vehicle, due to the risk of expelling dust, gravel, and stones at other users. The engineer considered the demonstration technically notable, but questioned the commercial value of the product and the delay for those who had reserved the car. He stated that Elon Musk continued to make promises and delivered only a part of what was announced. Alfonsín said he would analyze the technical aspects in the PowerArt videocast and in upcoming videos. #Tesla #Roadster #Ingeniería (translated)
