Decir que cuando una mujer mira a otra y piensa “está gorda” en realidad es “un hombre mirando a través de su cabeza” implica varias cosas problemáticas: -Niega la agencia de las mujeres: sus propios juicios, envidias o preferencias no serían suyos, sino producto del “patriarcado internalizado”. -Es incoherente: si una mujer piensa que un hombre está gordo o calvo, ¿también es “un hombre” el que piensa dentro de ella? -Ignora la biología y la psicología evolutiva ya que las mujeres, como los hombres, compiten intrasexualmente. Juzgar el físico de otras mujeres (y denigrarlo por medio del cotilleo) forma parte de esa competencia natural, no es una imposición externa que anula su mente. Atribuir todo pensamiento crítico femenino a “la mirada masculina” no empodera a las mujeres, las infantiliza.
