Leven op bijstandsniveau kun je niet 'even' ervaren. Leven op bijstandsniveau is juist zo zwaar omdat het niet iets tijdelijks is met zicht op beter. Leven op bijstandsniveau is een opeenstapeling van zorgen, dealen met onverwachte kosten en rekensommetjes die je continu moet blijven maken in je hoofd om ervoor te zorgen dat je én eten in je koelkast krijgt én op jaarbasis kunt rondkomen. Leven op bijstandsniveau is de betaling van de ene rekening zo lang mogelijk uitstellen om een aanmaning van een ander net op tijd te kunnen betalen. Leven op bijstandniveau is het aangaan van een betalingsregeling voor je energierekening omdat de onderhoudsbeurt van je fiets, je enige vervoersmiddel, iets duurder uitviel dan verwacht.
