Alcohol schaadt uw gezondheid. Ja, merci. Ik was het bijna vergeten. Tegenwoordig moet blijkbaar op alles wat plezant is een waarschuwing, een stigma of een portie schaamte geplakt worden. Weet u wat mijn gezondheid óók schaadt? Een energiefactuur waar ik spontaan hartkloppingen van krijg. Belastingen op belastingen tot mijn bloeddruk vanzelf een beleidsindicator wordt. Boodschappen afrekenen en mij afvragen wanneer een volle winkelkar een luxeproduct geworden is. En dan de politiek. Eerst mijn koopkracht uitkleden, het leven duurder maken en langs alle kanten geld komen halen, om daarna met een bezorgd gezicht naar mijn glas wijn te wijzen en mij te vertellen dat ik toch wat beter op mijn gezondheid moet letten. Prachtig. Stress en geldzorgen zijn trouwens ook niet bepaald gezond, maar daar hangt vreemd genoeg nooit een waarschuwingslabel aan. Dus zet gerust “alcohol schaadt uw gezondheid” op mijn fles wijn. Maar dan wil ik vanaf morgen op iedere belastingbrief: “Opgelet: langdurige blootstelling aan overheidsbeleid kan hartkloppingen, hoge bloeddruk en een onweerstaanbare drang veroorzaken om deze brief met een glas wijn te openen.” Voilà.
