Bis dahin betrug die Frist nach der Wahl 14 Tage. Mit der Begründung, dies wäre zu kurz, hat man sie nicht etwa verlängert auf 30 oder 45 Tage, sondern einfach gestrichen. Die Frage, ob die AfD als stärkste Fraktion die Wahl eines Ministerpräsidenten erzwingen kann, ist nicht vollständig geklärt.
