Dr. Jan van de Beek wrote that he felt lonely in the world of migration statistics. According to him, most people did not dare to speak out for fear of endangering their mortgage or career. He said that figures which did not fit the dominant migration narrative led to accusations of untruth and ridicule. When those figures later turned out to be correct, the critics remained silent according to him. #migratie #economie #vrijheid (translated)

Anna Lewandowska said that Robert Lewandowski's farewell to FC Barcelona at Spotify Camp Nou was particularly painful. Due to traffic, she had gone to the stadium on a scooter and said she cried seeing Robert and Laura embrace. She had hoped until the end that the family would stay in Barcelona, a city to which she said she had become deeply attached. She explained that she did not want to move and had even considered making trips back and forth with the family to join Robert, before concluding that it would not be viable in the long term. She also mentioned the memories of Munich, where her husband had reached the peak of his career, and the emotions related to football in Barcelona, particularly the support from Poles who came to watch Robert's matches. Anna Lewandowska said she had maintained good relations with the club president, Joan Laporta, who had come to see her at the stadium and assured her that Barcelona would always be his home. She mentioned her Edan studio, her team, and her walks near the beach. At the end of her stay, she had participated in a 10 km race; three or four people had come to say a few farewell words to her. She added that her loved ones had organized a party for her on the beach. According to her, FC Barcelona remembered Robert and had listed him among its legends. She also believed that her husband had become very attached to the club, beyond his contract. Now in Chicago, the family felt good, she said, even if the city represented a step.
