Veel altcoins zijn de afgelopen week doodverklaard. Om eerlijk te zijn waren de meeste dat al veel langer, en daar ben ik blij om! Voor onze vaste volgers zal dit geen verrassing zijn, maar ik zal je vertellen waarom. Jarenlang zijn mensen deze markt ingelokt met loze beloftes: "altseason", "100x", "financiële vrijheid", noem maar op. Vaak waren dit beginners die de kansen zagen, maar de risico's nog niet volledig begrepen. Er werd een droom verkocht waarin iedereen kon winnen. De realiteit bleek anders. Miljoenen liquidaties, miljarden aan vermogen verdampt en talloze mensen die hun zuurverdiende geld verloren. Veel van die altcoins staan inmiddels 70%, 80%, 90% of zelfs 99% lager dan hun piek. Velen hebben sinds 2022 geen nieuwe all-time high meer gezien, terwijl Bitcoin, Ethereum en enkele andere grote projecten dat wel deden. Ondertussen waren er influencers, KOL's en zelfverklaarde crypto-goeroes (we weten allemaal over wie ik het heb) die zelf nauwelijks risico liepen. Ze kregen allocaties van projecten en hoefden die alleen maar te promoten. Terwijl anderen hun spaargeld riskeerden, hadden zij vaak al gewonnen voordat de eerste koper instapte. Ik hoop dat sommigen van hen ooit ter verantwoording worden geroepen, al vrees ik dat velen ermee wegkomen. Voor iedereen die geld heeft verloren hoop ik vooral dat er een waardevolle les uit is gehaald. Veel negativiteit en paniek in de markt. Om eerlijk te zijn, ben ik nog nooit zo rustig en kalm geweest. Ik zie weinig tot geen beren op de weg...misschien is dat een gave, misschien een curse, wie zal het zeggen. Persoonlijk denk ik dat we dicht bij de bodem zitten (let op: mijn mening!). We kunnen best nog wat liquiditeit ophalen of hier nog een tijd blijven rangen, maar ik denk dat het grootste deel van de daling achter ons ligt. De cyclus is dit keer net iets anders verlopen en we bewegen niet één-op-één met de traditionele markten. Maar zolang we geen totale meltdown daar zien, kan dat juist zorgen voor hernieuwde money flow richting Bitcoin. Mijn short hedge is inmiddels vrijwel volledig gesloten. De winst heb ik gebruikt om extra spot aan te kopen. Mijn DCA loopt nog steeds door en tussendoor blijf ik uiteraard beide kanten van de markt traden. In de markt heb je geen 100% zekerheid en niemand weet waar de koers morgen zal staan, maar je moet ergens bereid zijn risico te nemen om te groeien.
