Og den har nu meddelt, at den ikke har tænkt sig at rette fejlene af egen drift - kun hvis hver enkelt boligejer selv opdager dem og klager. Det er imod god forvaltningsskik. Og det er en helt urimelig behandling af boligejerne. En myndighed skal have styr på fakta, før den træffer en afgørelse, og rette fejl af egen drift, når den opdager dem. Det kaldes officialprincippet. @Skattebetalerne opfordrer skatteminister @engelschmidt til at indskærpe, over for Vurderingsstyrelsen, at den skal leve op til officialprincippet. Sommerhusejer Carl-Johan Howitz i Karsemose Nord påpegede overfor Vurderingsstyrelsen, at hans grund var vurderet ud fra 15 procents bebyggelse. Lokalplanen tillader kun 10 procent. Styrelsen henviste ham til at bruge 1.200 kroner på at indsende en klage. Skattebetalerne gik ind i sagen i januar (se link nedenfor) og kritiserede denne praksis for at være ulovlig. Efter B.T.s omtale i februar bad Ombudsmanden om en redegørelse. I maj sendte styrelsen alligevel naboen en deklaration med SAMME fejl. Siden er fejlen fundet i Nordjylland og Odsherred. Skal alle boligejere nu til at læse lokalplaner for at tjekke deres vurderinger? Styrelsen har henvist til 20 procent-reglen. Den holder ikke. Reglen findes, fordi værdiansættelse er usikker. Den giver ikke hjemmel til at undlade at oplyse sagen korrekt. En bebyggelsesprocent er nagelfast og offentligt tilgængelig. Det er styrelsens opgave at bruge den korrekt, ikke skatteborgerens. Skattebetalerne opfordrer Ombudsmanden til at gå helt ind i sagen og tage stilling til styrelsens praksis. Mit spørgsmål til statsministeren og alle andre socialdemokrater er: Hvorfor må private virksomheder gerne tjene penge på at bygge skolen, hospitalet og plejehjemmet - men ikke på at levere selve omsorgen? Private entreprenører bygger for milliarder af offentlige kroner. Private virksomheder leverer medicinsk udstyr, rengøring, mad og it. Selvfølgelig må de have et overskud, hvis de leverer det, vi har betalt dem for. Hvorfor skulle det princip pludselig ophøre, når det gælder sociale tilbud? Profit og kriminalitet er ikke det samme. Et overskud kan komme af dygtig ledelse, effektiv drift, innovation og investeringer. Svindel er falske fakturaer, fiktive medarbejdere, oppustede huslejer og penge, der kanaliseres over i nærtstående selskaber. Det sidste skal vi slå benhårdt ned på. Det gør vi bare ikke med et profitloft. Et sådant loft gør det mindre attraktivt for dygtige mennesker at investere i og udvikle specialiserede tilbud, som kommunerne og borgerne har brug for. Så lad os bekæmpe kriminalitet i stedet for at føre ideologisk krig mod private virksomheder. Hvis man driver et privat velfærdstilbud godt og effektivt og drager omsorg for udsatte borgere, er det helt legitimt at tjene penge på det. Vi har brug for mere privat foretagsomhed og næstekærlighed i velfærden. Vi har ikke brug for, at socialdemokrater ender med at kvæle alt velfærdsiværksætteri i forsøget på at ramme nogle af de brodne kar. #velfærd #privatesektor #socialpolitik

"VILLA DI FARAGOLA": FROM ASCOLI SATRIANO TO THE UNITED STATES — PUBLISHED IN THE PRESTIGIOUS "POPULAR ARCHAEOLOGY USA" SOURCE: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/villa-di-faragola-from-ascoli-satriano-united-states-sardella-ph-d--pgd6f/ in the heart of apulia, buried for fifteen centuries beneath the wheat fields of the carapelle valley, lay one of the most opulent aristocratic residences of ancient italy: the villa of faragola, near ascoli satriano (fg). discovered in 2003 by the university of foggia and excavated under the direction of giuliano volpe and maria turchiano, this extraordinary late antique residence – almost certainly belonging to the cornelii scipiones orfiti, one of the most powerful senatorial families of the fourth century – has yielded wonders unique in their kind to scholars around the world. the best-preserved stibadium in italy: a sigma‑shaped masonry dining couch, decorated with gilded marble reliefs of dionysian theme, at the centre of a summer banqueting hall of incomparable luxury. a private bath complex of more than a thousand square metres – among the largest ever documented on the italian peninsula – with glass‑paste mosaics, opus sectile floors, and walls clad in polychrome marbles imported from tunisia, greece and the peloponnese. a cenatio aestiva where roman senators reclined along the curve of the dining couch while a fountain played among the marbles and the scent of the apulian countryside drifted in through the open colonnade. then, on the night between 6 and 7 september 2017, an arson attack – almost certainly criminal in origin – destroyed within hours the protective covering of the site, scorching the marble floors, warping the mosaics, and sweeping away decades of work. professor volpe, who was in kuala lumpur at the time, learned of the news via whatsapp early that morning. No one has ever been brought to trial but faragola did not surrender. thanks to funding of around three million euros, restoration work was completed in november 2024. the villa still bears the marks of the fire – and archaeologists have deliberately chosen not to erase them: that scar is now history, just as much as the senators’ banquets. the faragola archaeological park is now preparing for its second opening to the public. a magnificent article in the american magazine popular archaeology recounts the entire story – from the daunian roots of the site to its present‑day rebirth. it is truly worth reading.
