Two days after Fux suspended his order in the case of the false threat to Our Lady of Aparecida, Flávio Dino called on the Federal Police to investigate a supposed "wave" of attacks on religious images. We checked, one by one, the 11 records he gathered. There is a case from 2025, cases with already identified authors, and an investigation that the police had concluded before the decision. In another case, the store owner expressly stated that it was not a matter of religious intolerance. There are at least two cases with strong indications of schizophrenia. Dino compiled these episodes without presenting a historical series that shows an increase in attacks or a connection between their perpetrators. The report shows what exists in each case and presents important context regarding the 2018 elections. (translated)
