A Bledi-tó partján eredetileg 1883–1885 között épített villát az osztrák arisztokrata Windischgrätz család, majd 1922-ben I. A királyi család nyári rezidenciaként használta, és új palotát is terveztek ide Jože Plečnik tervei alapján, ám Sándor 1934-es meggyilkolása, majd a második világháború miatt az elképzelés nem valósult meg. A háború után Tito jugoszláv elnök nyári rezidenciájává alakították a birtokot; a ma látható épület Vinko Glanz tervei alapján 1947-re készült el.
