Congaanel presented African cosmogonies as an ancient source of scientific thought on the origin of the universe. He related the Noun, which he described as a primordial ocean in Egyptian traditions, to the Wolof word "Nen," which means egg, and argued that these notions evoked a primordial matter destined to unfold. The author claimed that Georges Lemaître, who formulated the primordial atom hypothesis in 1927, did not create this conception but translated it into modern equations. According to him, biblical, Greek, and Western traditions had drawn from the knowledge of ancient Egypt. Finally, Congaanel interpreted an image of Cheikh Anta Diop in a white coat handing a seed to a young girl during an Olympic ceremony as a symbol of the transmission of African scientific heritage to the youth. #ScienceAfrica #Histoire #Cosmogonie (translated)

Frenchie estimated that the 21st century could go down in history as one of great French humiliation, attributing part of this situation to the country's political choices. He contrasted the industrial ambition of fifty years ago, when, according to him, nuclear projects were being launched and scientists, engineers, and workers were building for future generations, with current proposals. He specifically mentioned the legacy of Pasteur, the Curies, and the Lumière brothers. He criticized the adoption in the Assembly the day before of an amendment aimed at taxing data circulating on the Internet, claiming that eleven votes were enough to pass it. According to him, such a measure risked hindering the opportunities that the Internet offers to young people, researchers, and those without fortune or networks. He also contested the idea that the tax would be borne solely by content providers, estimating that the cost could be passed on to their services. Addressing the deputies who voted for the amendment, Frenchie reproached them for seeking new tax revenues rather than questioning public spending that he deemed misused. He believed they were betraying their responsibility to past and future generations and warned against the risk of one generation squandering what ten others had built. He concluded that he did not want children to leave France to build their future and then return as tourists. #France #Souveraineté #Innovation (translated)
