Grzegorz Płaczek informed that as part of a parliamentary intervention, he addressed the marshals of the Silesian, Lesser Poland, and Masovian voivodeships regarding the cooperation agreements made in recent years with the Lviv Oblast or its authorities. He demanded an official objection to the resolutions of the Lviv Regional Council establishing the year 2027 as the Year of the UPA and Roman Shukhevych, as well as a re-analysis of the agreements, including considering their termination. Płaczek wrote that the announcements of withdrawing the resolutions do not change the fact that they were adopted. In his opinion, they indicate a problem of glorifying the UPA by part of the Ukrainian local authorities, which he described as a historical and political threat. He added that the memory of Poles murdered in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland should not be a subject of compromise, and the Polish side should clearly express its objection to the Ukrainian side. #Polska #Ukraina #Historia (translated)
