With the safety of residents, with the safety of citizens, we cannot play around. Neither in Kypseli nor anywhere else. The logic of "let's go and see what happens" cannot be tolerated by anyone. Especially when safety and life are at stake. For the past seven months, there have been cracks and subsidence in 35 apartment buildings in the center of Athens, in Kypseli. The responsible minister himself has stated that he would not let his own families live here. There is inaction and there is no development that reassures these people. Therefore, what needs to be done immediately is: First, all technical data should be provided to the experts appointed by the residents. Second, there should be an immediate, certified evaluation process to determine whether the buildings are green, yellow, or red. For those that are yellow or red, residents must be given the opportunity to relocate to safe buildings immediately, at the state's expense. Restoration work must be carried out promptly. I repeat, we cannot play with issues of safety. I have seen houses with cracks and in load-bearing structures, that is, in columns and beams. I have seen doors that do not close. I have seen frames that have come loose. Those who are responsible for certifying and providing a valid opinion on whether the buildings are habitable are the qualified engineers of the Technical Chamber, who must respond urgently to the question of whether the buildings are green, yellow, or red - those that are green are fine, but for the yellow and red ones, we must ensure the safety of the residents immediately.
