The author noted that the AfD demanded the return of 1.2 million Syrian refugees. According to the entry, copper production in Peru fell by 5% year-on-year in August, and the launch of the iPhone Duo was postponed to January 25. The author wrote that the pope spoke from the hospital with Vladimir Putin, and Donald Trump fired his spokesperson after five days. He also quoted Trump, who, when asked about who started the war with Iran, stated that what matters to him is only its end. The entry attributed to Donald Tusk the words that Ukraine's collapse would mean a problem for everyone, and to Ursula von der Leyen — the announcement of the 22nd package of sanctions against Russia and an assessment that Ukraine is lacking 70 billion euros. The American ambassador to the Netherlands, Joe Popolo, and several tech companies, including Nvidia and Apple, have contributed to the construction of a ballroom at the White House, raising questions about conflicts of interest and transparency, as half of the donations come from entities with interests in the government. #TrumpBalzaal #Donaties #Transparantie (translated)

TeslaXander wrote that a cultural change is visible at Tesla: While the world evolves, he believes the Germans are regressing. He accused them of placing rules and obedience over freedom and innovation and exchanging bold ideas for moral notions. As examples of self-imposed restrictions, he cited headphones with simultaneous translation, self-driving cars, Apple's AI on smartphones, and vehicles without a steering wheel, which he labeled as forbidden. He also stated that the new Roadster would soon be banned, in his assessment. At the same time, he wrote that only fixed closures on PET bottles are allowed, something the whole world makes fun of. He attributed the EU's ability to ban such things to what he sees as an internal intellectual cowardice and called for Germans, especially men, to emancipate themselves. #Innovation #Kulturwandel #Freiheit (translated)

The economist criticized Swedish media for allegedly giving little attention to Tesla's Roadster, despite him describing it as a flying car. He compared the coverage to the significant space the media gave to new iPhone models with more megapixels and argued that Elon Musk's controversial stance seemed to weigh heavier than tech reporting. As an example of Aftonbladet's priorities, he mentioned headlines about Ingrosso's feelings, a 200-meter-long queue at a candy store, and celebrities picking mushrooms. He believed that potentially groundbreaking technology instead ended up far down the page or was met with criticism about the price. #journalistik #medier #Tesla (translated)

Daniel Schatz wrote that MUCF had granted the association Changing Attitudes 15 million kronor in tax funds for work against sexualized violence against children. He claimed that the grant had instead gone to private trips to Las Vegas, India, and Thailand, spa visits, AirPods, an Apple Watch, and a visit to a gala within the porn industry. According to Schatz, the association justified the trips to the USA by stating that the porn industry had its center there. He wrote that the couple would record interviews, network with people in the industry, and meet profiles to try to make contacts in the entertainment and sports sector. When MUCF requested documentation, the association, according to Schatz, could only provide vacation photos and posts on social media. He criticized the Tidö government for not stopping the grants or shutting down MUCF and claimed that the authority had repeatedly given tax funds to extremist and Islamist organizations without anyone being held accountable. https://t.co/ovPW38pIVH #MUCF #Bidrag #Sverige (translated)
