Net zoals dezelfde minister al vijftien keer heeft aangekondigd dat er een "crackdown op subsidies" komt. Wat die overheidsapp betreft: In 2023 lanceerde Weyts zelf een "Vlaamse wandelapp" van 75.000 euro. Hij had daarvoor heel wat pers uitgenodigd. Die app heeft nooit gewerkt. Een jaar later was hij al verdwenen, samen met de 75.000 euro. De minister verdedigde dit zelfs nadien in het parlement nog als een "slimme investering".
