Quanto sta accadendo con il caso Biennale è semplicemente inaccettabile. Un organismo politico, l'Unione Europea, raccomanda a un ente tecnico, l'agenzia Eacea, di interrompere i contributi. Prima ancora che venga trovato, nell'eventualità ci fosse, un elemento concreto per giustificare questa decisione. Questa è la fine del diritto, una sentenza prettamente politica che danneggia chi da anni porta avanti un lavoro straordinaria a Venezia. L'Italia e i suoi luoghi d'arte sono liberi e democratici, non c'è spazio per i ricatti economici di Bruxelles.

La culture en Europe, financée avec l’argent des contribuables, doit promouvoir et protéger les valeurs démocratiques ; ces valeurs ne sont pas respectées dans la Russie d’aujourd’hui.

Ich empfehle der EACEA (Europäische Exekutivagentur für Bildung und Kultur) offiziell, die Förderung in Höhe von zwei Millionen Euro an die Biennale in Venedig zu kündigen. Kultur in Europa – finanziert mit Steuergeldern – sollte demokratische Werte fördern und schützen. Diese Werte werden im heutigen Russland nicht respektiert.
