The law enforcement agencies have guaranteed the right to protest with their usual professionalism, intervening with balance and caution in critical situations where it was necessary to do so. In any case, the treacherous actions carried out by these agitated professionals of disorder will not go unpunished. In addition to the numerous arrests, investigation activities have begun to bring those responsible to justice. Neither the minor age of some of the participants can suggest any form of impunity. The line from the Viminale, as always, is aimed at preventing violence to avoid worse troubles but without leniency on individual responsibilities that will be contested in criminal proceedings. Those who engage in such illegal actions will face the ensuing response from the State, which will apply the current laws. This is clearly brutish violence that will achieve no results. Thus said the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi. #ForzedellOrdine #Violenza #Proteste (translated)

Impact reported that Tiziri Digne, presented in the publication as the wife of Lucas Digne, had downplayed the looting on October 17. In an Instagram story, she recalled that historical episodes such as July 14, 1789, May '68, the July Days, and the February Revolution of 1848 were also marked by destruction and confrontations, and that they had contributed, according to her, to current rights and social gains. She defended the claims of Gen Z, parents, lawyers, firefighters, and caregivers, and argued that the looting of a luxury storefront or the burning of a bus stop should not distract from deeper issues. She specifically cited the lack of resources in schools and hospitals, sexual violence in schools and after-school programs, police violence, inequalities, and racism. She also mentioned Mr. Nunez and criticized the fact that presidential candidates wearing electronic bracelets or already condemned continue to seek the highest offices. Tiziri Digne finally expressed that the contested struggles today could be celebrated in the future. #Révolution #Injustice #ChangementSocial (translated)
