Emanuel Boeminghaus wrote that Zurich Airport also reports a shortage of jet fuel. A bottleneck has only been resolved by tapping into legal reserves. Frankfurt Airport is also struggling with a jet fuel shortage, while heating oil prices in Switzerland have doubled in recent days. He accompanied the statement that everything depends on logistics with an ironic comment. #Kerosinmangel #Logistik #Flughafen (translated)

Emanuel Boeminghaus pointed to a significant rise in heating oil prices in Switzerland and warned of supply shortages. In the Bern region, heating oil now costs around 171 Swiss francs per 100 liters, compared to about 98 francs the previous year. About one in three residential buildings in Switzerland is heated with heating oil, he wrote. As indications of the tense supply situation, Boeminghaus cited the Rhine water level at Kaub, which was at ten centimeters on October 15, as well as nearly 80 percent lower quantities of mineral oil in the Basel ports in August compared to the previous year. The kerosene supply is also strained. The historical low water levels increasingly threaten energy supply and drive up transport costs, he wrote, referring to Handelsblatt. https://t.co/RAFhIoEyOv #Heizöl #Schweiz #Energieversorgung (translated)

Emanuel Boeminghaus wrote that the inflation rate in Germany had risen to 3.3 percent in September 2026, according to the Federal Statistical Office, up from 2.9 percent in August and 2.8 percent in July. This was the highest level since December 2023. Energy had become 14.9 percent more expensive in the course of a year, fuels by 37.1 percent, and heating oil by 74.9 percent. Core inflation stood at 2.4 percent. According to Boeminghaus, the higher energy costs had further burdened consumers and businesses and increased the pressure on the already difficult economic situation in Germany. https://t.co/SXaKTQhjE9 #Inflation #Deutschland #Wirtschaft (translated)

Italy wants to delay the disastrous CO2 pricing of heating oil, natural gas, and fuels - the ETS2 - together with the Czech Republic. Now it is extremely important that Germany joins such an initiative. However, since Friedrich Merz has recently been playing the full-fledged climate chancellor again to win the favor of his red-green friends, the chances for reason are rather slim. Would the chances be better with Boris Rhein? #Klimapolitik #CO2Bepreisung #Energiepreise (translated)

#Energiepolitik #Raffinerien #Klimawandel
