After so many years of observation, you can already notice certain changes and behaviors in him that were not there before. I have the impression that the final of the 2025 season hurt him and the fact that the goal of winning the World Championship gold could not be achieved. There were many accusations at that time. I openly wrote that despite winning the VNL, it was not a successful year. We were an apathetic team that had no plan B, and at the most important moment of the season, we lacked quality. This year was different. And that's the change I particularly appreciate. We lacked neither flexibility nor creativity. This team has too much potential to not utilize it and limit itself to just one scheme. We saw this both in the VNL final when we switched to playing with three receivers, and during the European Championships when Grbić wisely used the formations and possibilities provided by the squad. This should characterize this team, and that's what makes me happiest - going beyond the scheme. We have become a team with several faces. It can be "animalistic" with Leon on the court, but it can also play more technically - with Semeniuk and the invaluable Fornal. The transformation of the latter is beautiful. For the first time, I see him not as a young player, but as a 29-year-old who is a leader. During the European Championships, he took on the role of the court leader. A few years ago, Grbić built Semeniuk for himself. Today, they both trust each other unconditionally, and that relationship gives us medals. It was Semeniuk's season, even though he had to wait for his chance. The measure of his greatness is his approach to the role he was given. This patience and readiness led him to two changes through which he helped secure two gold medals. I am also pleased that Grbić did not overly suffer from personnel losses. During the VNL, he built a new foundation in the middle. I have the impression that this went a bit unnoticed. Meanwhile, we won the most important matches of the season also thanks to the quality of Jakubiszak and Lemański. They played brilliantly in both finals. He is not the most "clickable" character on this team, he does not have the aura of the biggest star, but his strengths remain a cool head and accuracy. Yesterday's final was a summary of his transformation in the national team. The solution to the problem on the right side turned out to be Bołądź. The 32-year-old has been playing at a 40% efficiency level in attack since the beginning of the 2025/26 season. He took on the weight of responsibility for the right side and at the same time gave this national team more than anyone could have expected before the season. However, the picture cannot be exclusively rosy. A significant downside is the reliance on Sasak, which ultimately did not work out. Perhaps this season was a good time to try a different solution in the form of Gomułka. The same goes for Nowak. A year has passed since his impressive entrance into the national team. This season, he clearly faded and remained mostly in the background. He did not take advantage of the absence of the trio Bieniek - Huber - Kochanowski. And that "hook" in the match against Latvia was bound to hurt. In conclusion: we got a beautiful team this season, which created a great atmosphere internally. It has been more than two months since the tournament in Chicago, and I feel that this team, until yesterday's final, continued with the same energy and quality we first saw in Chicago. And it is in this that I see the greatest value of the 2026 season. I bought it, ate it, and I'm shocked at how a simple trick by Żabka has turned so many people's heads with a product that's not particularly cheap. Moreover, in my opinion, pizza is not the main focus here. The process of buying pizza at a restaurant takes at least an hour (go, order, receive, return or alternatively, order on Uber, wait for delivery, eat). The process of making frozen pizza in the oven takes at least a dozen, if not several dozen minutes: often we hold something in the oven, take it out, arrange it, preheat the oven. The process of receiving a ready, hot dish called pizza at Żabka is simply going to the store (hence the key point that they are everywhere, within a few minutes at most) and handing it to the lady at the checkout. The lady sets the machine for 2:30 and the pizza is ready. The pizza itself might have better ingredients than Giuseppe Oetkera, but at a similar or sometimes lower price, you can find comparable products in any Lidl. The thing is, you need an oven (or a microwave, but the quality will suffer). The secret - of course, in my opinion - is the OVEN in every Żabka, and not the pizza itself. It prepares the dish quickly and efficiently, and consistently. The crust itself tastes just okay, again at a level comparable to other frozen products. Also, the portion size is not large - I took pepperoni, but let's agree that in no pizzeria in the last few years have I received such a small pizza (another matter is that for 25% more, we pay 100% more in a restaurant, but that's not the discussion right now). This is not a flaw, the portion is sufficient, and at this price, you can eat two pieces if you want. This is simply a perfectly tailored, frankly, poorly speaking calibrated product that hyper-effectively reaches the masses. But I will defend the thesis that this is not about the pizza.
