Remek Kinas announced the release of basal 2.2, which—he wrote—introduces the basal-calibrate tool for adjusting model calibration to the user's local data. According to him, the tool uses labeled examples from a given process, and the data is not shared externally or used for training the model. Kinas stated that he tested the solution in a new field where the model had not been trained. He wrote that using the "1%" setting from the provided file would result in automatically accepting every eighth decision, with 8% of those being incorrect. After calibration on the user's data, the calibration error for choice questions decreased from 0.268 to 0.083. In the case of the verify statements, the model automatically accepted 54.8% of the cases and made no errors in doing so. The release also included FP8 and GGUF ports for basal-omni-1.0-mini and max, as well as MLX ports for Apple Silicon Macs: mini, max, and 1.1-max. Kinas thanked Piotr Durlej for GGUF export, Kuba Sołtys for implementation on Google TPU, Michał Kardyś for work related to AMD Strix Halo, user lukaspoloki for basal-viz, and Paweł Kiszczak for exports to Apple Silicon MLX. The author also expressed gratitude for the posts and comments from the past weekend. He mentioned that he had responded to some of them and then worked on further improvements; he also announced that he would publish comments in the evening. #sztucznainteligencja #uczenieMaszynowe #technologia (translated)

Michal Kvasnica criticized referee Dalibor Černý's decision in the 40th minute of the match between Baník and Sparta, which he deemed incomprehensible with the score at 0:0. He wrote that Ki-Jana Hoever stomped on Filip Kubala's instep in front of assistant Jan Paták, but did not receive a yellow card, which according to Kvasnica would have been his second in the match. He described the decision as a fundamental mistake that affected the game. #fotbal #rozhodčí #BaníkSparta (translated)

Roman Kolář appreciated two contributions from the frontman of the band Rybičky 48, Kuba Ryba, and wrote that they should also be published on the X network. According to him, it is important when public figures speak about social issues, even if it may cost them some fans. He cited Drábová, Svěrák, and Vetchý as examples. Kolář wrote that Ryba explains the topic to people publicly and compared him to Hejma, whom he stated spreads pro-Russian disinformation. According to Kolář, there has been a long-term failure in defending against hybrid warfare, especially disinformation, and the situation is worsening. He criticized EU politicians for not wanting to pressure social networks to delete fake accounts, verify user existence during registration, or limit the spread of disinformation. He dismissed objections that such measures would mean censorship or the creation of a "Ministry of Truth" as nonsense. He called for pressure on EU lawmakers and the European Commission to address the issue. He warned that otherwise, pro-Russian political forces could win in other countries. In Germany, he labeled the AfD as a pro-Russian Nazi party and Die Linke as a pro-Russian communist party; he also noted that they have opposite views on migration. In France, he identified both Le Pen and Mélenchon as pro-Russian. #dezinformace #hybridníválka #politik (translated)

Adam Bucholz wrote that for the first time in 17 years, none of the trio: Stoch, Kubacki, and Żyła made it to the podium of the individual Summer Championships of Poland. He noted that on October 11, 2009, in Zakopane, Małysz won, ahead of Ł. Rutkowski and G. Markus Haintz wrote that Dr. Claudia Wittig is right: It is useless to report on a war from only one perspective without trying to understand the other side. Those who feel morally superior because of it, in his opinion, do not contribute to ending wars. Haintz also stated that great powers tolerate no foreign troops at their borders and referred to the Cuban Missile Crisis as an example. Whether one finds this good or bad does not change the fact, according to his account. #Krieg #Frieden #Politik (translated)

Joanna Grabarczyk wrote that the case of Marek Kubala, a Seat dealer from Wałbrzych, was another high-profile action by the District Prosecutor's Office in Wałbrzych. According to her, the same unit contributed, among other things, to the ruin of his business. Grabarczyk stated that Kubala fought for 23 years for 22 million in compensation and ultimately won the case "miraculously." https://t.co/G2ncw7F5wF #Wałbrzych #polska #sprawiedliwość (translated)
