Guille G. Alfonsín described the presentation of the Tesla Roadster as a very effective advertising maneuver to showcase the company's technical capabilities and attract attention, although he noted that the vehicle presented did not match the 2+2 convertible electric sports car reserved by customers in 2017. According to what he wrote, the model had initially been promised for 2020 and, nine years later, Tesla announced another two years of waiting. Alfonsín highlighted the engineering of the demonstration but warned that marketing a vehicle capable of controlled flight would require aeronautical certifications and operating authorizations, in addition to road homologation. He also raised doubts about the use on open roads of fans that generate aerodynamic lift by sucking air underneath the vehicle, due to the risk of expelling dust, gravel, and stones at other users. The engineer considered the demonstration technically notable, but questioned the commercial value of the product and the delay for those who had reserved the car. He stated that Elon Musk continued to make promises and delivered only a part of what was announced. Alfonsín said he would analyze the technical aspects in the PowerArt videocast and in upcoming videos. #Tesla #Roadster #Ingeniería (translated)

Sometimes it's very easy to declare a trade war —or any war—, but it's very difficult to stop it. The European Commissioner for Trade, Maros Sefcovic, announced this Friday from Beijing a preliminary agreement with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Wentao, which aims to reduce exports of Chinese hybrid vehicles to Europe, facilitate licenses for essential rare earths to the continent, and promote access to the Chinese market for key European sectors such as olive oil, auto parts, and footwear. #UE #China #Comercio (translated)

My housing decree: 1. Dedicate more resources to building public housing. (the current levels are lamentable) 2. Free up land and streamline permits. (to this day this is used by municipalities to gain more power) 3. Improve public transport and infrastructure to make underpopulated areas attractive. 4. Tax incentives for companies and workers who move to underpopulated areas. 5. Limit tourist housing in tense areas. (we need to choose whether we want cities to be for their residents or for tourists) 6. Toughen the conditions to convert residential housing into vacation rentals. 7. Raise taxes on empty homes for long periods and provide incentives to owners who rent out those homes. (If investment funds or foreigners want to have homes, they should at least contribute to increasing the supply in the rental market or pay, and those taxes should be allocated to public housing) 8. Facilitate the rehabilitation of abandoned buildings and homes. 9. Increase urban density where possible. 10. Provide legal security to rentals to increase the supply. (toughen anti-squat laws and stop introducing new regulations frequently) What would yours be? I'm listening.
