Die F-35 ist eine der Entscheidungen der deutschen „Zeitenwende“, verkündet von Olaf Scholz nach dem russischen Großangriff auf die Ukraine, zusammen mit dem 100-Milliarden-Euro-Sondervermögen für die Bundeswehr. Damals ahnte man noch nicht, dass die sogenannte „zweite Zeitenwende“ schnell kommen würde, nämlich die offene Abwendung der USA von europäischer Sicherheit und das aggressive Verhalten von Trump gegenüber Grönland und generell gegenüber den NATO-Europäern. Dazu kommt ein großer Drang Trumps zur Normalisierung der Beziehungen und Geschäfte mit Russland, das gleichzeitig für die Europäer die größte Bedrohung bleibt. Jetzt bindet Deutschland viele Milliarden in die Anschaffung von 35, oder nach Planungen sogar 50, F-35-Flugzeugen, die damit künftig weniger als ein Viertel der deutschen Luftwaffe bilden sollen. Man bindet sich langfristig neu an amerikanische Technologie, an kostspielige Updates, an sehr hohe Folgekosten für Infrastrukturen und hat damit dieses Geld nicht in eigenständige europäische Handlungsfähigkeit investiert. Deutschland versucht gerade gleichzeitig amerikanisch zu kaufen und europäische Handlungsfähigkeit zu stärken, offenbar in dem Glauben, es wäre durch die Bereichsausnahme aus der Schuldenbremse für Verteidigung immer unbegrenzt Geld da. Das wird jedoch nicht so bleiben. Strategische Entscheidungen und Prioritätensetzungen sind nötig. Eine gute Faustregel dafür wäre: Wenn etwas schnell lieferbar ist, dann amerikanisch kaufen, wenn es länger dauert, dann besser in europäische Eigenständigkeit investieren. Die F-35 ist eine Investition in eine hervorragende militärische Fähigkeit, allerdings in einem Bereich, in dem die Europäer selbst bereits stark sind. Es gibt mit Eurofighter/Typhoon, Gripen, Rafale eine ganze Reihe starker europäischer Kampfjets. Es gibt zum Beispiel aber bisher keine guten europäischen Lösungen in Bezug auf elektronische Kampfführung aus der Luft, massenweise Drohnenabwehr oder drohnenbasierte, flugzeugbasierte und satellitenbasierte Aufklärung im Sinne europäischer Souveränität. Müsste das Geld nicht eher in diese Fähigkeiten für künftig eigenständig europäisches Handeln gesteckt werden als in langfristige und sehr teure neue Abhängigkeiten von amerikanischen Kampfflugzeugen, amerikanischer Technologie, amerikanischen Updates und amerikanischen Entscheidungen? Und: Kriegen wir von den Trump-USA für die teure Bindung an die F-35 eigentlich politisch etwas zurück oder nimmt man dort das deutsche Geld gern und trampelt bei nächster Gelegenheit doch wieder auf den Deutschen herum? #F35 #Deutschland #EuropäischeSicherheit
