The Institute of Truth wrote that in December 2014, Daniel Obajtek testified as a witness in the trial of Roman and Józef Lis, who were accused of fraudulently obtaining around 200 thousand złoty in EU subsidies. According to the institute, Obajtek denied at that time that he was a silent partner of TT Plast and stated that he owned shares briefly, many years before assuming the office of the mayor of Pcim. He was also said to have testified that as mayor he did not hold any positions in the company nor managed it, and did not collaborate with an employee named Szymon. The institute reminded that in February 2021, "Gazeta Wyborcza" published recordings of conversations from 2009 in which Obajtek allegedly discussed clients, taking over contracts from Elektroplast, and matters concerning TT Plast. The newspaper reported that employees of the company referred to Obajtek as a silent partner. In 2016, Roman Lis filed a report of suspected false testimony and attached recordings.
