Each of us can actually expect that somewhere at 6:00 some services, often politically inspired, will knock on our doors. Why do I say this? Of course, the state has the right to explain various things. However, the case of Ms. Director Plakwicz has its roots nine years back. The proceedings in this matter have been ongoing for several years. The director testified and participated in various procedural activities that were conducted during this proceeding. She did not hinder them in any way. On the contrary, she was always available. So the fundamental question is: what is the reason for the arrest if we are dealing with a person who is an official, it is known where she is, she has not hidden anywhere, has not hindered anything, and has participated in the activities? And suddenly, in my opinion, solely for the purpose of such a political show, a woman, I emphasize: a woman, must be arrested and transported to another city, to Rzeszów. I was a prosecutor, nearly 10 years a lawyer. In such cases, if someone were to do something, to obstruct or influence the proceedings unlawfully, they could have done so long ago. I do not find justification, in short, I do not find justification for this kind of action. I do not resolve this matter. However, I see a political context here, that is, hitting Ms. Director Plakwicz, hitting a woman. Of course, it is also about hitting the President, it is about hitting the Chancellery, it is about hitting Karol Nawrocki himself. However, detaining someone almost a decade after the event, when we have documents, when we have participation in these proceedings, because I emphasize again: the director, and perhaps similarly in the case of Mr. Editor, participated in various activities of these proceedings for several months now, raises fundamental questions. It is not the case that suddenly nets need to be thrown, handcuffs put on, and thrown into a police car. I think that is precisely the point: perhaps we will scare someone, perhaps we will extort something from someone, perhaps we will extract some testimonies, perhaps they will implicate someone else. This is absolutely unacceptable in a democratic state that is governed by principles. I say this again, there are no grounds for applying this kind of, in my opinion, repression. (translated)
