Nada mal para alguém que passou anos apresentando a si próprio como defensor dos valores cristãos. Por outro lado, há seu filho, Flávio Bolsonaro, e, ao seu redor, aparece uma sucessão de personagens ligados ao mundo do crime. Mais recentemente, veio à tona que uma assessora de seu gabinete negociou a liberação de uma emenda parlamentar a pedido de Robson Calixto, o "Peixe", miliciano condenado por integrar a organização criminosa armada comandada pelos irmãos Brazão, condenados como mandantes do assassinato de Marielle Franco e Anderson Gomes. Além de ter dado versões contraditórias sobre sua relação com Daniel Vorcaro, Flávio acumulou episódios que mostraram seu conforto com grandes mentiras. Primeiro, ele disse que não conhecia o banqueiro. Depois vieram mensagens em que o chamava de "irmão" e cobrava recursos. E, depois de afirmar publicamente que nunca havia entrado em um avião de Vorcaro, veio a informação de que havia viajado com a família em um jatinho do qual o banqueiro era cotista. O patriotismo da família Bolsonaro também tem suas peculiaridades. Eduardo Bolsonaro foi aos Estados Unidos pressionar o governo Trump por medidas contra autoridades brasileiras e, depois que Trump impôs tarifas de 50% aos produtos do Brasil, afirmou que o presidente americano havia "acertado na decisão". As tarifas atingiram empresas e exportadores brasileiros. Para uma família que transformou a bandeira nacional em símbolo político, é uma curiosa modalidade de patriotismo: buscar pressão de um governo estrangeiro e depois apoiar uma medida que manda a conta para quem produz no próprio país. Existe ainda outra herança do pai que Flávio Bolsonaro parece ter aprendido muito bem: transformar a religião em instrumento de construção de poder político. Sua campanha tem buscado sistematicamente grandes lideranças evangélicas e associado sua candidatura a expressões como "propósito de Deus" e "Deus está me preparando". O curioso é que alguém investigado por suspeitas que incluem lavagem de dinheiro e cercado por casos que o aproximam de personagens ligados ao crime encontre justamente no discurso religioso uma espécie de certificado moral. Para mim, essa é a contradição mais interessante do pior candidato que temos, pois quanto mais complicada fica a sua biografia terrena, maior parece ser a sua necessidade de falar sobre o céu. Nesse contexto, tem-se que Jair foi eleito prometendo acabar com a velha política. Flávio já chega carregando a sua. O pai levou quatro anos para mostrar do que realmente era capaz. O filho poupou o país da espera. Apesar disso, impulsionado sobretudo pelo antilulismo, ele continua competitivo nas pesquisas. E ainda temos uma população sedenta por mudança, e com razões legítimas para isso. O risco é descobrir, tarde demais, que mudar o rumo do país não significa necessariamente seguir para um lugar melhor. Mudanças podem vir.
