Det finns dokumenterade fall där personer gripits, torterats eller tvingats svära att de inte ska “vara homosexuella igen”. Hamas avrättade 2016 sin egen befälhavare Mahmoud Ishtiwi efter anklagelser om sodomi. Interna dokument beskriver “moralisk avvikelse” som skäl för hårda straff inom rörelsen.
