Na sequência, a resposta atribuída ao jogador teria sido: “mereceu tomar uns tiros mesmo”. Em outra conversa, Júnior teria encaminhado a David uma foto de uma pistola. Conforme a Polícia Civil, o jogador teria respondido: “tem que matar um para ver de qual é”. A terceira conversa citada pelos investigadores trata da negociação de um veículo. Segundo o delegado, Juan teria pedido a Júnior que fizesse a intermediação com David para conseguir um empréstimo e realizar a troca de um Fiat Argo. A investigação aponta que o veículo seria o mesmo utilizado em uma tentativa de homicídio e estaria “queimado”, termo utilizado pelos envolvidos para se referir a um carro que teria ficado comprometido após sua utilização em uma ação criminosa. Após ser alvo da operação, David Corrêa prestou depoimento à Polícia. Informações divulgadas posteriormente apontaram que o jogador reconheceu conhecer pessoas mencionadas na investigação, mas negou qualquer participação ou envolvimento com tráfico de drogas ou armas. O empresário André Cury também declarou que David não possui qualquer ligação com o crime organizado. O caso corre sob segredo de Justiça.
