Een boekhouder moet kunnen boekhouden. Een chirurg die zegt “we snijden eerst en bekijken daarna wel wat er gebeurt” vliegt buiten. Maar voor het besturen van een land? Begroting, fiscaliteit, pensioenen, arbeidsmarkt, energie, economie… zet u maar neer. We zien wel. 🤡 Vandaag communicatiespecialist, morgen arbeidsmarktexpert. Overmorgen miljarden saneren. En wanneer een perfect voorspelbaar gevolg van het eigen beleid opduikt, krijgen we bloedserieus: “Dat moeten we bekijken.” Nee. Dat had de vakman bekeken vóór hij eraan begon.
