Marco M.M. dedicated his post mainly to the very young, asserting that today more importance is placed on the image one projects than on who one actually is. He wrote that happiness seems to require visible proofs, such as photographs, travels, and milestones to show off, and that this mentality has fueled competition even in conversations and personal relationships. According to Marco M.M., the desire to appear better can make it more difficult to listen, change one’s mind, apologize, and acknowledge others' merits. He observed that ambition and the desire for self-improvement are not a problem, but they become one when there is a need for others to fall behind or for constant validation of one’s worth. He urged people to ask themselves whether the goals they pursue are truly desired or are simply a way to avoid feeling inferior, and he indicated that listening, humility, and respect for others are more important qualities than exhibited success. #autenticità #crescita #relazioni (translated)

Gustavo Petro argued that he did not need to request statements from paramilitaries against Álvaro Uribe or Abelardo de la Espriella, as he wrote, those statements had been made years earlier under the Justice and Peace Law, which required telling the truth in order to obtain political benefits. He stated that the friendship between De la Espriella and Salvatore Mancuso was documented in photographs and was public knowledge. He also pointed out a document from a foundation advising paramilitaries in which, he said, De la Espriella participated along with the current president of Ecopetrol, Joaquín Gutierrez. Petro added that the environment surrounding Mancuso and the people holding high public positions allowed for the existence of that relationship to be noted. #Colombia #Justicia #Política (translated)

Gustavo Petro stated that the two former officials of his government had not presented evidence of their accusations to the Prosecutor's Office, which he described as slanders. He said he would take them to criminal proceedings so they could present their evidence and the justice system could decide. Petro denied having asked paramilitaries to accuse a specific person and maintained that, during his political control debates as a congressman, he himself had made accusations based on judicial evidence. Regarding Abelardo, he stated that his relationship as an advisor to paramilitarism had been mentioned and documented with photographs in those debates, and that it had appeared in paramilitary confessions for years. He also said that what happened in Ralito had been established through a law of the Republic and attributed the proposal to subordinate legal benefits to telling the whole truth to the Constitutional Court. According to Petro, his government had only warned that the process should be concluded with truth, restorative justice, and guarantees of non-repetition. https://t.co/AVzLiUP0CA #Justicia #Verdad #Corrupción (translated)

BTS Daily Chile⁷ explained that the sculptures Namjoon shared in an Instagram story were chemamüll, figures of Mapuche culture displayed at the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, in the historic center of Santiago. The account described the museum as an institution dedicated to preserving, researching, and disseminating the artistic and cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of America. It added that its permanent exhibition "Chile before Chile" addresses the history, beliefs, art, and ways of life of the indigenous peoples of the Chilean territory. BTS Daily Chile⁷ noted that the Mapuche people have a historical presence concentrated in south-central Chile and in territories of present-day Argentina, and that their name means "people of the land" in Mapudungun.
