Prav umetna inteligenca, visoke tehnologije, obramba, raziskave in investicijsko povezovanje sodijo med področja, na katerih državi v zadnjem obdobju prepoznavata velik potencial za okrepljeno sodelovanje. Predsednika vlad sta se strinjala, da je treba dobre politične odnose pretvoriti v nove priložnosti za podjetja, raziskovalne ustanove, investitorje in državljane obeh držav ter spodbujati neposredne povezave med ljudmi. Slovenija in Izrael imata veliko znanja, izkušenj in podjetniškega potenciala. To ni nikakršna »vojna napoved stroki«. Učitelji in ravnatelji – torej ljudje, ki vsak dan delajo v šolah – so naši ključni partnerji pri oblikovanju in izvedbi reforme. Ne zaupam pa pedagoškemu establišmentu po inštitutih, fakultetah, zavodih in na ministrstvu, ki je desetletja oblikoval in utrjeval ureditev, katere rezultate danes vsi poznamo. Gre za zelo majhno skupino, nekaj deset ljudi, ki je obvladovala ključne vzvode sistema. Ta establišment zdaj tudi sam priznava, da sistem ne deluje in da ga je treba popraviti. Toda popravljali bi ga isti ljudje in na isti način kot doslej: tako, da bi jim država najprej deset let bogato plačevala študijo za študijo. In naj bom jasen: ko kritiko institucij in njihovih nosilcev razglasijo za napad na vse učitelje, učitelje uporabljajo kot živi ščit za obrambo lastnih položajev. Tega manevra ne sprejemam. Reforma bo izvedena v partnerstvu z učitelji, ravnatelji, starši in strokovnjaki, ki želijo izboljšati znanje naših otrok – ne ohranjati statusa quo. #izobraževanje #reforma #učitelji

Ko se pokažejo katastrofalni rezultati PISA, pedagoški establišment išče krivca. Tokrat je to digitalizacija. Pri tem “pozabijo”, da so države, ki so na vrhu rezultatov PISA, bistveno bolj digitalizirane od Slovenije. Del pedagoškega establišmenta pa krivi tudi starše. Ne vodim ministrstva za družino, vodim ministrstvo za izobraževanje. Čeprav je desetletja določal smer šolske politike, pedagoški establišment danes ne ponuja niti odgovornosti niti rešitev. Njegov edini program je deset let novih študij in nobene spremembe. Ministrstva ne vodim zato, da bi varoval njihov status quo. Vodim ga zato, da izboljšamo znanje otrok.
