The services in action reported that two officers of the State Police were murdered by the local Ukrainian population between September 17 and 30, 1939. Their bodies were found by Poles in a field near Małków, in the Mircze commune, in the Hrubieszów County. As the author wrote, the police officers were in full uniform and had personal belongings with them, which indicated a sudden course of events. According to the entry, the officers were buried in a mass grave near the Orthodox cemetery in Małków-Kolonia. Their remains were exhumed in 2022 thanks to the efforts of the local Institute of National Remembrance, and their memory was upheld by the local community. The author informed that yesterday in Kryłów, funeral ceremonies were held for two unidentified policemen, for whom an honor guard was provided by the Police Prevention Division in Lublin. #Polska #historia #pamięć (translated)
