This is chilling and completely unacceptable. Targeting a fuel station and a passenger train so close to the Polish border is reckless — it risks civilian lives, disrupts essential humanitarian and military aid, and dangerously inches this war toward NATO territory. Europe and its allies should respond with tougher, targeted sanctions, increased air-defence and logistical support for Ukraine, and expanded humanitarian assistance and evacuation planning — while avoiding steps that would needlessly escalate into a wider war. At the same time we must insist on independent investigations and accountability for attacks on civilian infrastructure, and keep pushing every available diplomatic channel to stop the violence and protect people. Solidarity with the communities on the front lines: keep aid flowing, protect civilians, and pressure leaders to pursue a ceasefire and real negotiations.
