🇫🇷 🇪🇺 De 26-jarige Franse biologische boerin Anaïs Foulquier zegt dat de nieuwe #Mercosur-vrijhandelsovereenkomst van de EU met Zuid-Amerika haar bedrijf zal ruïneren. Maar nu Mercosur onze markten openstelt voor vlees dat geproduceerd is met #pesticiden die hier verboden zijn, op ontbost land, onder omstandigheden die we in Europa nooit zouden accepteren, voelen we ons duidelijk verraden," waarschuwt ze. Mercosur laat zien dat de zorgen van de EU over klimaatverandering slechts schijn zijn. De overeenkomst zal ervoor zorgen dat goedkope en gevaarlijke landbouwproducten vanuit de andere kant van de wereld Europa binnenstromen. De "van boer tot tafel"-propaganda van de EU is overboord gegooid en alleen al in Brazilië zijn maar liefst 3.669 pesticiden toegestaan. Brazilië heeft miljoenen hectares regenwoud gekapt om megaboerderijen met monocultuur te creëren, en de vernietiging van het regenwoud zal met deze nieuwe overeenkomst alleen maar versnellen. "We spelen het spel elke dag mee, maar ondertussen importeren we producten van de andere kant van de wereld, geproduceerd onder omstandigheden die we ons hier niet eens durven voor te stellen: pesticiden zijn hier verboden, er is sprake van #ontbossing en #megaboerderijen. En dat is prima. Het komt op onze markten terecht en concurreert met onze producten," klaagt de jonge boer. Eén Braziliaanse staat, Mato Grosso, kent de hoogste "#agrotoxiciteit" ter wereld. Binnenkort zullen Europeanen dit voedsel eten. "Deze Braziliaanse staat is het koninkrijk van de landbouwindustrie.
