I want to put on the record my sincere thanks to @KemiBadenoch for following and supporting our Rape Gang Inquiry. A number of Conservative MPs have attended, and I want to thank each and every one of them - particularly @EstherMcVey1 who has done so much work behind the scenes helping us put it all together. Luke Myer, a Labour MP, also took the time to attend our inquiry. He did not have to do it, he knew he was probably going to get criticised. But he came, and he listened. I have immense respect for that. The Northern Irish patriots were of course supportive, and @carlalockhart sat on the panel for one day. Again, it's appreciated. @AndrewRosindell from Reform backed our motion on trafficking, as did one Lib Dem MP. @JMcMurdockMP has also provided a huge amount of support. The next steps are now this. We still have a huge amount of evidence and testimonies that is to be released, and that will be done over the coming weeks. Survivors came to tell their story, and we will help them do that in a safe and secure way. The drafting of our report is already underway - that will take several weeks. I will update you all when I know more. A target list for private prosecutions and civil litigation is being drawn up. This I am particularly determined about. We will also be looking to push changes in the short term. I will have an update about this next week. Our plan is to reopen our evidence submission portal so that more survivors can come forward - we will help them tell their story.
