Shocked and appalled by the violent assault on writer Vladimir Arsenijević, just as he prepared for commemoration of Srebrenica genocide victims. Expecting authorities to act swiftly to bring perpetrators to justice and ensure public spaces are safe for remembrance and free #JusticeForVladimir #Srebrenica #StopViolence #BA

Both Ukraine and Poland have so-called Institutes of National Remembrance/Memory, government bodies that focus on proving that the respective country was most heroic, most victimized, most valiant and otherwise a flawless example to the human race through modern history. #antisemitisme #ytringsfrihed #graffiti

On May 10th, it is the National Day of Remembrance for the slave trade, slavery, and their abolition. On this day, it is important to remember that enslaved people did not wait for their freedom to be given to them but fought for it through resistance and acts of defiance.
