Bitcoin hat die $70.000 geknackt. Zum ersten Mal seit elf Wochen. In den meisten Zusammenfassungen steht als Grund das Krypto-Treffen im Weißen Haus. Die Zeitachse sagt etwas anderes. *** Wenn gerade nicht genug Zeit hast alles zu lesen, findest du am Ende des Posts die Entwicklungen in einem Absatz zusammengefasst. *** Der Sprung begann Stunden vor Trumps Auftritt. Auslöser war Finanzminister Scott Bessent. Er hat das Volumen der Anleihe-Rückkäufe des Finanzministeriums mindestens verdoppelt. Der Staat kauft dabei eigene, ältere Anleihen zurück und schiebt frisches Geld in einen Markt, dessen Renditen einen Tag zuvor auf den höchsten Stand seit fast zwei Jahrzehnten gesprungen waren. Gold legte am selben Tag 2,7% auf 4.528 Dollar zu. Zwei Hartwerte, dieselbe Richtung, derselbe Auslöser. Trotzdem war das Treffen relevant. Was dort tatsächlich gesagt wurde: Im Roosevelt Room saßen Brian Armstrong (Coinbase), Brad Garlinghouse (Ripple), Tyler und Cameron Winklevoss (Gemini), Arjun Sethi (Kraken), Vlad Tenev (Robinhood), Sergey Nazarov (Chainlink Labs), Adena Friedman (Nasdaq) und Jeff Sprecher (ICE, Mutterkonzern der NYSE). Dazu SEC-Chef Paul Atkins, CFTC-Chef Mike Selig und Krypto-Berater Patrick Witt. Die Prognosemärkte Polymarket und Kalshi standen auf den Vorablisten, waren am Ende aber nicht dabei. Trumps zentrale Botschaft war ein Appell an den Kongress: eine "faire Version" des CLARITY Act. Das Gesetz würde festlegen, welche Behörde für welche Kryptowerte zuständig ist, SEC oder CFTC. Trump nannte es Gesetzgebung, die die USA vor China halte. Und er sagte: "Wir haben den Krieg gegen Krypto ein für alle Mal beendet." Der Realitätscheck dazu: Der Senat stimmt am 15. September über das Verfahren ab. Nötig sind 60 Stimmen. Aktuell fehlen nach Schätzungen rund sechs demokratische Stimmen. Auf Polymarket liegt die Wahrscheinlichkeit für eine Verabschiedung in diesem Jahr bei etwa 19 bis 20%. Der Blockadepunkt ist bemerkenswert. Die Demokraten wollen Ethikregeln im Gesetz verankern, die Amtsträgern private Krypto-Geschäfte begrenzen. Betroffen wäre in erster Linie die Familie des Präsidenten. Trump hat nach Reuters-Recherchen über 1,4 Milliarden Dollar aus den Krypto-Aktivitäten seiner Familie eingenommen, darunter rund 635 Millionen Dollar aus der Lizenz für den TRUMP-Coin und 236 Millionen Dollar aus Verkäufen von WLFI-Token. Der Mann, der das Gesetz einfordert, ist gleichzeitig der Grund, warum es feststeckt. Chainlink-Gründer Nazarov berichtete im Anschluss, Trump habe die CEOs noch ins Oval Office geholt und nach Feedback gefragt. Die Regierung halte eine Verabschiedung für machbar, es gehe nur noch um wenige offene Punkte und eine Handvoll Senatoren. Der Satz mit der größten Marktwirkung galt aber Hyperliquid. Trump sagte, Selig arbeite daran, Hyperliquid "vollständig regelkonform und legal" in die USA zu bringen. Hyperliquid ist die größte dezentrale Börse für Perpetual Futures, also Terminkontrakte ohne Ablaufdatum. Der Token HYPE stieg im Tagesverlauf um mehr als 19% auf knapp 70 Dollar. Die börsennotierte Hyperliquid Strategies legte zeitweise 28% zu. Was dabei untergeht: Es gibt keine Genehmigung, keinen Antrag und keinen Zeitplan. Die Plattform sperrt US-IP-Adressen weiterhin. Für einen regulierten US-Betrieb bräuchte es eine Registrierung als Designated Contract Market oder als Clearingstelle. Bei einem Orderbuch, das vollständig on-chain läuft, ist bis heute offen, welche juristische Person diesen Antrag überhaupt stellen würde. Die konkreteste Entwicklung der Woche kam von der SEC, einen Tag vor dem Treffen. Am 18. August hat die Behörde "Regulation Crypto Assets" vorgeschlagen. Zwei Ausnahmen von der Registrierungspflicht: einmalig bis zu 5 Millionen Dollar über vier Jahre für Startups, und bis zu 75 Millionen Dollar pro Zwölfmonatszeitraum für größere Projekte. Dazu ein bedingter Safe Harbor. Sobald ein Team die versprochenen Aufbauarbeiten erfüllt oder dauerhaft eingestellt hat, fällt der Token aus der Definition des Investmentvertrags heraus und gilt damit nicht mehr als Wertpapier. Registrierungspflichten der einzelnen Bundesstaaten würden entfallen. Wichtig: Es handelt sich um einen Vorschlag. 60 Tage Kommentarfrist, danach muss die Kommission erneut abstimmen. Nichts davon gilt heute. Atkins selbst betonte, ein Gesetz des Kongresses bleibe unverzichtbar, weil eine Behördenregel von der nächsten Regierung wieder kassiert werden kann. Eine Meldung, die gestern viral ging, sollte man vorsichtig behandeln: Trump habe angekündigt, die USA erwögen den Kauf erheblicher Bitcoin-Mengen. Kein Medium mit Reportern im Raum hat diesen Satz bestätigt. Die strategische Bitcoin-Reserve enthält bis heute ausschließlich beschlagnahmte Bestände von rund 200.000 BTC. Das Finanzministerium hat Käufe am offenen Markt bereits im Vorjahr ausgeschlossen, und ohne Budgetfreigabe durch den Kongress könnte die Regierung sie ohnehin nicht durchführen. Die Zahlen des Tages zum Schluss: 2,7 Milliarden Dollar an Short-Positionen wurden innerhalb von 24 Stunden liquidiert. Das ist die größte Welle erzwungener Short-Schließungen seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen 2021. In die US-Bitcoin-Spot-ETFs flossen 517 Millionen Dollar, in Ether-ETFs 189 Millionen. Bitcoin drückte sich kurz über seinen 200-Tage-Durchschnitt bei 69.031 Dollar, ein Niveau, das seit Oktober 2025 nicht mehr nachhaltig gehalten wurde. Ein erheblicher Teil dieser Bewegung besteht aus erzwungenen Käufen von Short-Sellern. Solche Bewegungen tragen erfahrungsgemäß selten weit, wenn keine echte Nachfrage nachrückt. Aktuell sehen wir jedoch auch Spot-Nachfrage, was positiv zu bewerten ist. Die eigentlichen Prüfsteine liegen im September. Die Verfahrensabstimmung im Senat am 15., das Ende der SEC-Kommentarfrist, und die Frage, ob bei der CFTC tatsächlich ein Antrag von Hyperliquid eingeht. Bis dahin bleibt vieles Absichtserklärung. Die kurze Fassung: Trump hat gestern im Weißen Haus die Spitzen der Kryptoindustrie versammelt und den Kongress zur Verabschiedung des CLARITY Act aufgefordert, während Bitcoin am selben Tag kurz 70.000 Dollar berührte.
