Hvad er ATPs største udenlandske aktie? Nvidia? Google? Nej, ATPs største udenlandske position er det islandske medicoselskab Embla Medical (!!). Du og jeg ejer gennem ATP aktier for over en halv milliard kroner i Embla, der laver proteser til f.eks. arme, ben og knæ. Men hvorfor hulen er ATPs største udenlandske aktieposition et islandsk medicoselskab? Kan netop dette selskab, som rent praktisk har hovedsæde på Island, men som er børsnoteret i Danmark, noget helt særligt? På den ene side skal man jo som investor eje bidder af mange forskellige virksomheder, hvis man skal sprede risiko. I den forstand kan det godt give mening. På den anden side virker det fuldstændig ude af proportioner, at ATP satser næsten 600 millioner kroner på et islandsk selskab. ATP ejer omkring 5 procent af selskabet, der har en markedsværdi på blot 11 mia. kr. Har Embla så klaret sig ekstraordinært godt? Nej. Embla er nede ni procent for året. Til sammenligning er de danske aktier oppe knap fem procent og de amerikanske aktier er oppe 12 procent. Embla har været pivelendige. Embla har over de seneste fem år tabt 40 procent af aktiekursen. Men nogle sats vinder man på, mens man taber på andre, vil ATP sige. Men dels er det fuldstændig bizart, at ATP satser så mange penge på ét islandsk selskab og dermed tager et meget stort sats. Og dels er det jo pointen med kritikken af ATP: ATP skal IKKE lave de her risikabel aktiebets, hvor de aktivt forsøger at slå markedet og udvælger deres egne vindere efter en eller anden logik, som ingen forstår. Hvorfor er man endt med at satse så mange penge på et selskab, der har en markedsværdi på størrelse med Jeudan? Danskerne vil være langt bedre tjent med, at vi skærer hele fedtlaget af ATPs højtbetalte aktieeksperter fra. ATP kan ikke og skal ikke forsøge at slå markedet. ATP skal i stedet helt overvejende investere i brede, billige ETF'er, der følger et bredt aktieindeks. Og ATP's største aktieposition må aldrig nogensinde være et islandsk selskab med en markedsværdi på 11 milliarder kroner. #ATP #investering #aktier
