Jeg har netop modtaget syv store, farverige publikationer fra Klimarådet. Hundredvis af sider fyldt med billeder og farverige grafer. Jeg har aldrig bedt om dem. Og det mest absurde? Rapporterne ligger allerede frit tilgængeligt på nettet. Dér har jeg selv har læst mange af dem. Klimarådet er sat i verden for at rådgive regeringen om klimapolitikken og den grønne omstilling. Og deres anbefalinger har det med at ramme helt almindelige danskeres pengepung. De har eksempelvis anbefalet, at flybilletter skal gøres markant dyrere i klimaets navn. De har også anbefalet højere afgifter på diesel. Budskabet til danskerne er altså klart: Jeres forbrug skal ned. Jeres transport skal være dyrere. I skal ændre adfærd. Men samtidig kan Klimarådet åbenbart uden videre trykke bunker af glittet, farverigt papir og sende dem uopfordret til mennesker, der lige så godt kan læse rapporterne digitalt. Det er næsten for perfekt et billede på dansk klimapolitik: Du skal begrænse dit forbrug. De må gerne fråse med ressourcerne. Det minder om de politikere, der belærer danskerne om deres klimaaftryk og bagefter sætter sig på et fly til den næste internationale klimakonference. Hvis man vil prædike mådehold for andre, kunne man passende begynde med at feje for egen dør. #klimapolitik #bæredygtighed #forbrug
