Jak zničit evropský autoprůmysl v sedmi krocích "Made in Brusel": 1) Evropská unie dlouhá léta uměle zvýhodňovala diesel jako nejsnazší cestu ke snižování emisí CO₂. Automobilky proto investovaly miliardy eur do motorů, továren a dodavatelských řetězců, které se později staly technologickou zátěží. Pokud by Brusel nechal výrazněji promlouvat trh, automobilky by investovaly do dieselu méně a více by z uspořených peněz daly například na raný rozvoj elektromobility. 2) Brusel emisní cíle navázal na hmotnost vozů. Výrobci těžších aut tak dostávali mírnější limity, což podporovalo vzestup SUV, výkonu a cen, zatímco segment lehkých a úsporných automobilů vyklízel pozice. Opět: toto by se na normálně fungujícím trhu, bez přeregulování, nedělo. 3) Přehnaná a chybná bruselská regulace zvýhodňovala drahé technické úpravy. Jejich náklady se snadněji rozpustily v ceně prémiového vozu než malého auta, takže z evropského trhu začaly mizet dostupné modely. 4) Regulatorně chybně nastavené laboratorní testy dlouho umožňovaly vykazovat podstatně nižší spotřebu a emise než v reálném provozu. Brusel tak vytvářel iluzi úspěchu, zatímco skutečný technologický přechod, včetně dalšího rozvoje elektromobility, se při usnutí na domnělých vavřínech odkládal. 5) Po Dieselgate přišel prudký obrat, který by na běžně fungujícím trhu také nenastal. Náhlá snaha o překotně rychlou elektrifikaci představuje důsledek selhání předchozí politiky: nejprve EU automobilky uzamkla v dieselu, poté je donutila v krátkém čase investovat do zcela jiné technologie. Chtěla svoji chybnou regulaci zbrkle zalepit jinou regulací, což je z povahy věci jen další chyba, a to ovšem fatální. 6) Navíc, elektrifikace zopakovala starou chybu. Místo levných městských elektromobilů EU opět regulatorně sázela na těžká elektrická SUV s velkými bateriemi, vysokou cenou a vyšší materiálovou náročností. 7) EU zpřísnila klimatické cíle dříve, než vybudovala vlastní bateriový, surovinový a softwarový řetězec. Evropské automobilky tak nesou náklady transformace, zatímco její klíčové technologie a podstatnou část přidané hodnoty ovládla Čína. #Automobilismus #EU #Ekologie
