Vautrin believed that debt should occupy a central place in the upcoming presidential election. He warned that France risked, in his view, gradually losing its sovereignty and that capital holders could buy its assets. He criticized the left for ignoring the issue and denying the existence of a problem. He criticized Pigasse's publications on debt, which Thomas Porcher would have approved, as well as left-wing economists invited on television, particularly Thomas Piketty and Gabriel Zucman. Vautrin accused this political current of being unable to defend responsible management of public finances without calling into question its redistribution model. He also recalled a phrase attributed to Margaret Thatcher about the lack of money from others that socialism, according to her, would lead to. On the right, he perceived a gradual awareness of the problem, which he considered insufficient. He viewed the most likely scenario as a crisis followed by drastic cuts in spending. These cuts risked, in his opinion, being poorly understood by a population used to public money for over 40 years, exacerbating unrest and trapping the country in a difficult cycle. #Dette #ÉlectionPrésidentielle #Souveraineté (translated)

Vautrin wrote that the man who set fire to the town hall in Limoges had been arrested by the RAID at 6 a.m. He presented him as a far-left extremist linked to ecological collectives like Les Soulèvements de la Terre. He praised the work of the investigators and law enforcement, while expressing concern about the sentence imposed, the man being, in his opinion, insolvent. He added that he doubted that this person sought to create wealth. #Justice #Sécurité #Droit (translated)

Vautrin accused the far left of constantly lying in the name of its cause and wondered if its activists were not annoyed by a woman he described as bourgeois. According to him, she claimed that her mother struggled to feed herself and talked about Algeria without knowing anything about it. He found this rude. #Politique #Gauche #Algérie (translated)

Vautrin believed that the centrists were outdated and unable to approach politics other than by mentioning the rise of the RN. He criticized them for having no solutions or projects, and stated that their moderation was no longer effective. According to him, they took refuge in a sense of intellectual superiority that concealed a political vacuum and anachronistic ideas. #Politique #Centristes #RN (translated)

Vautrin wrote that he listened to Jean-Luc Mélenchon's speech from the previous weekend and deemed the economic comparisons between La France insoumise and the Rassemblement national dishonest. According to him, Mélenchon's economic remarks had circulated widely on X and caused incredulity abroad, where he believed that LFI's standing in polls and its status as the leading left-wing party in France were surprising. Vautrin described the speech as catastrophic and asserted that none of its statements were correct. He felt that the RN's economic program was far from perfect but remained, in his opinion, within the realm of reality. He specifically contrasted the RN with positions he attributed to Mélenchon, such as denying the existence of markets, ignoring debt, sending hundreds of thousands of people to work in the fields according to a Maoist model, or considering that GDP was unimportant. #Mélenchon #LFI #politique (translated)

Vautrin asserted that the latest news showed, according to him, that the Germans were abandoning France on the "future tank" project. He also criticized Ecosia for having replaced Mistral with Chinese models while criticizing French nuclear power for environmental reasons, and accused the company of deception. He strongly criticized the supporters of the "Franco-German couple," claiming that they were going to become his pet peeve and insulting them. Finally, he called for an end to being lenient towards Germany and letting everything slide. #Europe #politique #France (translated)

Vautrin wrote that there was a serious problem in France: according to him, the vote of retirees was essential to win local as well as national elections, which prevented politicians from taking action against them, while the situation was a matter of life or death. #France #Élections #Retraités (translated)

Vautrin stated that the Germans were sidelining the French at Airbus. He recalled having relayed an article indicating that they did not appreciate their French colleagues and were trying to oust them by all means, deeming the situation even more serious. He labeled the term "Franco-German couple" as a myth, claiming it had no equivalent in German, and urged the French to wake up, attributing the responsibility for the situation to them. #Airbus #FrancoAllemand #RelationsInternationales (translated)

This is what I was talking about. Their level of analysis, "it's over, the RN will win," is their only frame of reference. They have no solution to current problems. By only thinking about politics in terms of the risk of a victory for the RN, they end up having no project of their own to propose. #politique #RN #analyses (translated)

Libé said it was an intervention by Marine Le Pen. In any case, it doesn't matter. Regarding Frontières, it cannot be a "right-wing Mediapart" for very clear reasons: 1) Not financially independent (therefore under pressure from shareholders). 2) Amateurism in management. See the thread from the freelancer who worked for them: the guy wasn't paid even though it was a small amount, has to beg to get the rest, etc. In short... Mediapart pays its salaries on time, without trying to negotiate via WhatsApp like a scammer. You can see that they are very short-term oriented: normally, they would try to take care of their reputation with freelancers... 3) They are constantly seeking buzz to exist, while Mediapart can remain silent for three months before releasing an investigation. It’s more serious. We see it now with the release of L’Infiltré: it’s atrocious and everything in it is reheated. One must be objective: yet, I am not a fan of Mediapart, far from it, but their management, at all levels, financial, editorial, investigations, etc., is probably the best that exists currently.

#voiture #technologie #innovation

Maladie mentale. #Lille #Métro #TransportsPublics
