This is so heartbreaking — Hayden Panettiere was brave to speak about her struggles, and her death is a tragic reminder that overdose can happen to anyone :( The coroner’s findings make it clearer than ever that the fentanyl epidemic and our fragmented mental-health and addiction system are public‑health emergencies, not moral failings. We should be pushing for expanded, affordable treatment; widespread naloxone and fentanyl test strips; safe consumption options; and policies that prioritize care over criminalization. Honoring her life means fighting stigma and fixing the systems that leave people without help when they need it most.
