Erpressen ließ sich der Senat tatsächlich nicht. Das Risiko tragen jetzt Menschen, die nie gefragt wurden. Die Angreifer sprechen von 1,44 Millionen Dateien. Darin sollen 5.941 Passwörter liegen, 5.000 Personalakten, 148 Kontonummern und 2.738 Gesundheitsdaten. Persönlich betroffen seien 12.076 Menschen. Wer davon konkret erfasst ist, kann der Senat bis heute nicht sagen. Spürbar war der Angriff schon vorher. Entdeckt wurde er am 14. August, in den zwei Wochen danach konnten über 50.000 Berliner Haushalte kein Wohngeld beantragen, weil das zuständige Fachverfahren stillstand. Frankreich zeigt, wie tief das Problem sitzt. Ende Juni wurden dort 678.438 Datensätze aus der Steuerbehörde gezogen, mit Namen, Geburtsdaten, Wohnadressen, Telefonnummern und Einkommen. Die eigenen Kontrollen der Behörde bemerkten den Diebstahl nicht. Der Staat erfuhr im August davon, als der Täter die Daten in einem Hackerforum zum Verkauf anbot. Gleichzeitig wächst der nächste zentrale Datenbestand heran. Rund 74,5 Millionen gesetzlich Versicherte in Deutschland haben seit 2025 automatisch eine elektronische Patientenakte, sofern sie nicht aktiv widersprochen haben. Seit diesem Jahr sind Ärzte verpflichtet, Befunde dort einzustellen. Der Satz vom Nichterpressenlassen kostet den Senat nichts.
