Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke @ActionAidDK kører nu en kampagne baseret på decideret misinformation om, at Israels nationale sikkerhedsminister opfordrer til, at 30-40 vilkårlige palæstinensere skal slås ihjel hver dag i Gaza. Knap 2.000 mennesker har liket opslaget på Instagram indtil nu. Som jeg redegjorde for tidligere på ugen, er det en overlagt løgn. Ministeren gjorde det soleklart i interviewet, at det var terrorister, der skulle slås ihjel – ikke civile. Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke bruger altså nu – på samme måde som Enhedslisten – misinformation til at opfordre til sanktioner mod Israel. Og endnu en gang må jeg bare sige, at vi som medier er vagthunde og derfor selvfølgelig skal oplyse befolkningen, når deres skattekroner går til organisationer, der spreder misinformation. Het boerenprotest is weer een waar feest voor de factcheckers. Eerst moesten we al corrigeren dat onze boeren ons voeden (dat is niet zo), nu zie je weer het frame dat de boeren zorgen voor de leefbaarheid van dorpen. Ook dit is grotendeels onzin. Ten eerste gaat het stikstofbeleid grotendeels om intensieve veeteelt. Dat is 9% van de boeren. En het beleid wil ook helemaal niet zeggen dat al die boeren verdwijnen. Komt bij dat dit hele proces (leegloop) grofweg in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw al begon. De huidige leegloop is er sinds de jaren '90 en vroege jaren 2000 en treft vooral de randen van ons land. Jongeren trekken al zeker dertig jaar weg uit regio's zoals Noordoost-Groningen, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen en de Achterhoek naar de (universiteits)steden voor studie en werk. Dat winkels, scholen, buslijnen en dergelijke al heel erg lang grotendeels uit de dorpen zijn verdwenen heeft niets te maken met boerenbeleid, maar alles met schaalvergroting en kapitalisme. Met het simpele gegeven dat bedrijven drijven op winst en je die winst niet uit een dorp kan halen. Zoals boeren ook weten dat ze meer winst kunnen behalen als ze hun producten verkopen in het buitenland en niet in het eigen dorp. Nederland wil al heel lang rechtsaf, dit zijn (grotendeels) de gevolgen van rechtsaf. Acties hebben gevolgen. Het lijkt er steeds meer op dat akelig veel mensen wel de voordelen van het kapitalisme willen hebben (en die zijn er volop), maar niet de nadelen. En zo werkt het niet. Anyway, ik zal eind deze week mijn gedachten over de boerenproblemen in een verhaal publiceren. Met de conclusie dat het beslist geen einde oefening is voor de boeren, maar wel voor de intensieve veeteelt. En de stelling dat de problemen deels door de overheid zijn veroorzaakt (door massaproductie en wereldhandel te stimuleren) en er dus ook een plicht rust om de boeren ruimhartig te helpen in de noodzakelijke transitie naar anders boeren.
