Der Aufruf der Polizei Saarland dazu: "Die Mordkommission möchte erneut an die Tat vor zwei Jahren erinnern und sucht in diesem Zusammenhang weiterhin nach Zeugen, die Hinweise zur Tat geben können. Insbesondere als Zeugen von Interesse könnten Personen sein, die ungefähr im Tatzeitraum (gegen 19:45 Uhr) den Bereich Schillerpark, oberhalb und unterhalb des dortigen Ehrenfriedhofs in der Kühlweinstraße oder auch die Straße Am Kirschenwäldchen, passierten.
