My review of the volume Crisis Cycle: Challenges, Evolution, and Future of the Euro, published by Princeton University Press, has been included among the assessments cited on the book’s official webpage. To find myself placed alongside distinguished commentators such as John H. Cochrane, Luis Garicano, and Klaus Masuch prompts further reflection on how much ground remains to be covered in aspiring to emulate their exemplary scholarly standards. John H. Cochrane’s book confronts a question of considerable consequence for Europe’s future: can the euro truly endure in its present form? X:n käyttäjämäärä Suomessa on noin 2,2 miljoonaa. BlueSkyn käyttäjämäärä Suomessa alle 100.000. Moni punavihreä "parempi ihminen" on lähtenyt X:stä nenäänsä nyrpistäen BlueSkyn pariin, mutta moni on palannut häntä koipien välissä takaisiin X:än. #SosiaalinenMedia #Suomi #Teknologia

Brechtje Paardekooper – oud-raadslid GroenLinks (nu PRO-bleem), rijksambtenaar en “vriendin van de boer”. Op de poster straalt ze: “Groen verstand, boer én toekomst voorop!” “Beleid met boerenverstand” “Samen bouwen aan een groene, eerlijke en leefbare toekomst”. In het echt reageerde ze op Bluesky op de (vermeende) Friese uitspraak “In goeie boer is in deade boer” met: “In mijn steeds frequenter wordende buien van machteloze woede over de afschuwelijke schade die boeren aanrichten, denk ik dit ook.” Dus: goede boer = dode boer. En dat uit de mond van iemand die boerenbeleid wil maken en tegelijk rijksambtenaar is. Op staande voet ontslag zou de juiste beslissing moeten zijn. #Boerenbeleid #GroeneToekomst #Politiek

Zal mij niets verbazen als hij een profiel heeft op Bluesky, zich daar als linkse activist profileert, de boeren overal de schuld van geeft en als vanzelfsprekend actie wil ondernemen tegen de klimaatverandering door brand te stichten, da's inmiddels een standaardrecept. #Klimaatverandering #Activisme #Boeren

Herhaling: Volkskrant, Trouw, NOS, NRC en KRO-NCRV eva stapten uit principe over van X naar Bluesky. Het “principe” kost ze wel 90% van hun potentiele bereik. Bluesky NL: 260.000 gebruikers. X: 2,7 miljoen. En die 260.000 zijn allesbehalve een dwarsdoorsnede van Nederland. Een tiende van de omvang, bereik ingeruild voor een (linkse) echokamer. Vooral de NOS/ NPO, gefinancierd met een miljard gemeenschapsgeld, kan dit feitelijk niet maken. #Bluesky #Media #VrijheidVanMeningsuiting

Man kann sich jetzt leicht über die komplett durchgeknallten Verschwörungstheoretiker auf Bluesky lustig machen, die den Anschlag als Versuch der Einflussnahme auf Wahlen bewerten. Aber beim ZDF sitzen genau diese Leute auf den einflussreichsten Posten und stehen in den Hauptnachrichtensendungen vor der Kamera. #Verschwörungstheorien #Medienkritik #Wahlen
