Radek Pogoda described a list of priorities that he attributed to his great-grandmother: a full pantry, healthy children, a safe home, produce from the garden, family meals, and kind relationships with neighbors. He wrote that achieving such a level of life was a great success in the past. According to Pogoda, in the 20th century companies began to present modest homes, old cars, and home-cooked meals as sources of shame to encourage people to buy new products. He also claimed that the rising cost of living forced both parents to work, and later, companies sold them, among other things, childcare and ready-made meals. Pogoda assessed that the former satisfaction with a simpler life began to be labeled as poverty and lack of ambition, and people were sold aspirations related to a bigger house, a car, and a wardrobe. He wrote that this way an endless cycle of consumerism was created. #refleksja #życie #prostota (translated)

Jacek Zarzecki wrote that the prosecutor's office was considering the return of animals taken from the Łączna Zoo and transported abroad, depending on their health condition. He accused the prosecutor's office in Świdnica of getting caught up in the games and interests of organizations working for animal rights. He also criticized the operation in which — as he described — police cars, arrests, and organizations that presented it as rescuing animals were involved. Zarzecki stated that the animals were taken first and only later did they start thinking about further steps, and he called for a change in the law and a limitation of organizations' impunity. #OchronaZwierząt #Polska #Prawo (translated)

Jakub Tepper described six months of pain, inflammation, and fluid accumulation in his knee. As he wrote, the problems began during his stay in Japan, where he walked a lot up and down stairs. In Poland, he visited two physiotherapists and an orthopedist, and also had an MRI done. According to his account, the visits and tests cost him several thousand zlotys in total, and previous treatments provided only short-lived relief. Tepper wrote that during his stay in Japan, he accidentally ended up with a physiotherapist who, after a conversation and brief examination, believed that the problem might stem from pushing the hips forward and improper loading of the legs while walking. The therapist advised him to change the way he placed his feet and went up the stairs, as well as to work on his posture; he also performed massage and stretching. The visit cost 125 zlotys. The author reported that after the meeting, he felt significant relief, and the pain and inflammation almost disappeared. He noted that he did not want to draw categorical conclusions from a single case, but wrote that the Japanese physiotherapist identified the cause of his complaints in just a few minutes. #fizjoterapia #medycyna #zdrowie (translated)
