Let's explain Mr. Mentzen's somersaults and the spins of this strange right: 1. Ukraine should not be helped because Russia does not threaten us and will not attack a NATO member. Therefore, Russia can conquer Ukraine and its troops can stand at our border. 2. The SAFE program is unnecessary because Russia will not attack. Experts from the university "trust me, I saw a video on TikTok" advise both Confederations, Nawrocki and PiS. 3. Mentzen calls for mandatory military service because there is no threat from Russia - or is there? If there is, then we need to help Ukraine. 4. Mentzen has never been in the military and never will be. 5. The right was supposed to conclude a senatorial pact, but after the negative reaction of the voters from several right-wing parties, they have withdrawn from it for now. Pro-Russian Braun will still be in coalition with Kaczyński. For them, the enemy is the EU, not Russia. 6. Nawrocki wants to be the leader of the right but is afraid of an open court trial with Onet. In the background, charges of pimping (who did you choose 🤦‍♂️). No one twists in the ice hole like right-wing populists. (translated)

The introduction of mandatory military service for those turning 18 and 19 means the establishment of an entire legal framework. The system will encourage the regulation of relations to military service. Lack of compliance may cause various life difficulties - lack of a passport, state-related issues. (translated)

Chauvinism and belittling the value of women is plain rudeness. Spitting at the uniform is extreme foolishness and a scandal, especially in times of increasing threats, when every day it is also Police Officers who ensure everyone's safety. Female officers serve, intervene, and take care of our safety. I will always defend women in uniform, who deserve great respect for their service. Mr. Mentzen... shame! (translated)

The park ranger shot at the car in which a couple was sitting, the media thunder. However, there is also a second, much less publicized version of events in this story. According to Kampinos National Park, park rangers were on duty in a two-person patrol and were driving a marked vehicle. They intervened with a car that was in an area where private vehicles were not allowed. The park ranger's report states that the driver did not comply with issued orders and then suddenly accelerated the car towards the ranger, nearly hitting him. Only then did the ranger fire a shot aimed downwards. The bullet damaged the vehicle's radiator. This is significant because park rangers do not carry weapons "for decoration." They have legal authority to use it, and one of the legally provided cases is the necessity to stop a vehicle whose actions threaten the life or health of the officer or another person. Kampinos National Park has filed a notice in this matter concerning the suspicion of active assault on an officer. The ranger himself has many years of experience, appropriate training, and qualifications required to carry a weapon. Of course, it is ultimately the prosecutor who will determine which version of events corresponds to the actual course of the intervention and whether the use of the weapon was correct. However, it is worth remembering these circumstances before turning the ranger protecting the park into a person who "shot at tourists" for no reason. We wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that they simply wanted to flee to avoid responsibility for driving into the woods, and encountered a ranger who knows his rights and performed his duties excellently. I almost completely disagree and am deeply surprised by this approach. First of all - Mr. @SlawomirMentzen mentions that the conscription should not have been suspended, which means that he would like to restore mandatory military service, that is, inflexible conscription of people into the army in barrack conditions. This is astonishing, as very many alternative methods, which are significantly better, are discussed. Secondly - the value of an army based on universal conscription on the modern battlefield is very debatable. Thirdly - it is crucial to convince citizens that it is worth fighting for the country. Restoring mandatory military service will certainly not achieve this. Fourthly - training large numbers of people is very costly, and the effectiveness of the money spent on it is at least questionable. I believe that we can, and even should, discuss some form of universal TRAINING, but definitely not the restoration of mandatory military service. (translated)
