Ivan Bartoš wrote that Andrej Babiš and his ministers promised cheap energy in the Chamber and claimed that they had the situation under control. Boris Šťastný from the Motorists supposedly promised that the government would not increase people's living costs, and discussed with Bartoš on CNN Prima in the evening. Bartoš connected Šťastný's performance with what he referred to as a Pyrrhic victory for the Motorists: according to him, they failed to manage Andrej Babiš but confirmed trust in the government. As a counterargument, he mentioned that the recommended prices from the Energy Regulatory Office for new and refixed contracts increased by 14% for electricity and by 20% for gas in the month. He added that the Pirates presented a nine-point Energy Security Manifesto in the spring, which he claimed included reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels, developing domestic sources and renewable energy, savings for families and businesses, better connections with neighbors, and assisting people in times of sharp price increases. Bartoš also wrote that a smaller dependence on gas and oil from unstable parts of the world would limit the impact of wars and geopolitical crises on energy bills. #energie #bezpečnost #politika (translated)
