The Children's Rights Advocate Monika Horna-Cieślak concealed six years of cooperation with those being pursued today, Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski. From 2016 to 2023, she earned a quarter of a million zlotys through contracts with the Institute of Justice (IWS), subordinate to Ziobro. The first contract was signed with her by the wanted Marcin Romanowski in December 2016 - in the midst of the conflict over the Constitutional Tribunal. The next contract was signed in July 2020. Soon after, Ziobro announced the termination of the Istanbul Convention, which protects women from all forms of violence and domestic violence. There are no documents in the Ministry of Justice and the IWS indicating who decided on the cooperation with Monika Horna-Cieślak and on what terms, and where her rates came from. Horna-Cieślak herself stated in interviews that she worked for the ministry after hours, preparing the so-called "Kamilka Act." But preserved documents show that she was actually working for Ziobro and Romanowski full-time at that time. When Donald Tusk's government attempted to improve the "Kamilka Act," Horna-Cieślak sent a letter to President Karol Nawrocki criticizing the changes. The trial of the audacious superhuman Karol Nawrocki against the military retiree Adam Mazguła has begun. An enemy of the Polish Constitution and democratic Poland, supported by an organized criminal mafia and Ziobro's prosecutors, with his powerful law firm and 2,000-strong gang of advisors, against Colonel Adam Mazguła, a retired officer of the Polish Army, supported by civilian friends, concerning the infringement of goods. What is more important: the code under political clowns or the constitution of our nation? And what about the freedom of expression and information of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union: Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right includes the freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authorities... (Article 11). In practice, it seems that the conspirator against Poland has the power and rights, while I only have the obligation to bow to the lout at his feet because the foreign viceroy treats me as though he owned my life, and that is only because I have served my nation and the Constitution in uniform since childhood, while he is fascinated by crime and hooliganism fighting for lawlessness? In any normal democratic country, such a trial would be impossible. Because there is no such audacious provision against the Constitution, as in the Polish Penal Code, which operates only in one direction. The law in the European Union and the USA even allows extreme insults against politicians, as they are elected and judged by the nation and must have "thicker skin," while I am not even insulting, just daring to write the truth. The trial has been secretive, so there is little information about it, but the day was spent considering defense motions to dismiss the charges and others from the prosecution, but all were rejected. The case will practically begin on October 29 at 9:30 AM. He had no charges, no one proved he took a bribe, and later the prosecutor's office dismissed all four main aspects of the scandal. But that was later. At the time, transcripts of conversations with a businessman interested in changes in the law were enough. I remember the atmosphere of those days. The feeling that something truly significant had happened. Resignations, government reconstruction, investigative committee. For weeks, all of Poland was consumed by this. Today, when I read more information about Zonda, the image of Chlebowski comes back to me, and I think that if we were to take the gambling scandal from 2009 and place it on a desk in 2026, it probably wouldn't last three days. The gambling scandal was not fabricated. Politicians should not engage in such conversations with businessmen interested in legislation, and it's good they faced political consequences for it. The thing is, seventeen years later, we are in a completely different place. It's not even that scandals have become larger. It's more about how much the boundary of what the right considers today to be a sufficient reason for bearing political responsibility has shifted. I have already written a lot about Zonda and will not retell the whole story again. It suffices to recall a few facts. Before Zonda, there was BitBay. Suszek, one of the creators of the exchange, went missing in 2022 and has not been found to this day. The investigation into the activities of the exchange has been combined with the investigation into his disappearance, and the case is now being handled by the National Prosecutor's Office department for organized crime and corruption. There are suspects with charges of involvement in organized crime groups, accusations concerning multi-million damages, money laundering, and obstructing the investigation into Suszek's disappearance. However, the prosecutor's office knew about BitBay much earlier. The KNF notified them back in 2018. The first investigation was dismissed in March 2019. The KNF contested this decision, the court ruled in its favor, and the case returned to the prosecutor's office. In June 2020, it was dismissed once again. After another complaint, the National Prosecutor's Office took over the case, but in June 2022, the investigation was dismissed again. This decision became final in May 2023. All of this happened while Ziobro was simultaneously the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General. The case that prosecutors for organized crime are currently handling was thus in the prosecutor's office for years. The KNF did not give up, the court overturned the decision, and the investigation was dismissed yet again. Somewhere along the way, this story entered politics. Zondacrypto became the main sponsor of CPAC Poland, money went to foundations associated with politicians, there was Ibiza, and connections surrounding the cryptocurrency law. Millions flowed into the Republic, there was Sakiewicz, discussions about Kral joining the station, and Kral's testimony about the promise of presidential pardon. Then Dobski and Jastrzębowski appeared along with their connections to Kral. I have described each of these threads before, so I will not redraw the entire network again. In 2009, Chlebowski lost his position as head of the Civic Platform club and chair of the Finance Committee, Drzewiecki resigned, and Tusk carried out a government reconstruction. Only later did the prosecutor's office dismiss all four main aspects of the scandal and did not charge anyone. Political responsibility thus came before the final criminal assessment.
