Typerend. This is the director of Avansa VZW. His organization, linked to the Catholic union, receives 13.6 million euros in subsidies each year. What do they do with it? Organize forest walks. With a left-activist approach. And as he aptly explains here: "doing things for people". Like "writing a book about the elderly" and then "touring schools with it and making a theater presentation". The man risks losing a maximum of 5% of subsidies with this government agreement. That means: instead of 13.6 million euros, he will now receive "only" 13 million euros per year (it is likely to be around 13.4 million in reality). According to the public broadcaster, this is "cold, bleak" almost inhumane. Those not invited to discuss this: working dual-income earners who struggle to save a little money. They will continue to pay the 13.4 million euros to Avansa. In this country, you are already seen as cold and bleak when you question that. Abolish the entire subsidy pot of 80 million euros. If there are a few organizations that could use some support, that can perfectly be done through a regular subsidy. (translated)

"Editorial board: it is unjust that smaller savers and investors receive accounts presented in box 3." (translated)

Incredible @helenestafleu. Anyone who has the discipline to save, to deny themselves things, and to postpone purchases, has absolutely no moral obligation to share the reserve they have built up with those who have not shown that discipline. Come on, that's the reverse world! For the saver, this meant less often, or not at all, going on vacation, a cheaper car, not getting a new phone every year, not eating out regularly but just at home at the dining table, living more frugally, making second-hand purchases instead of new, etc. It is a choice with a price: you deny yourself things so that you have a buffer later, for when things go wrong, when unforeseen expenses arise, but also to be able to live more comfortably in old age. Those who are not willing to make that effort and pay that price have no right to someone else's savings. Do you realize that when you label the unwillingness to share built-up savings as 'petty,' you are actually mocking the discipline and self-control that savers have shown? Is this perhaps because you yourself have not been able to muster this discipline, Helene? People who save generally also handle their own setbacks, do not rely on social services when times are tough, and show that they are morally made of the right stuff. What you are doing here, trying to instill a sense of shame in savers, as if the saver is a miser and the non-saver is a victim, is truly dishonorable, petty, and small-minded. Ugh! (translated)

It's a cigar from your own box. First, you raise taxes and then you take a little off. You burden people with savings and retirement funds so much that perspective disappears. The influx of asylum seekers remains excessively high and forces municipalities to take in a reception center. You act like you want sensible economic policy but do the opposite and team up with the left. Something like that? (translated)

Do you know what the dirtiest thing is right now? Our daughter has to live at home, and there is no living space anyway. She works, has graduated, and wants to save hard to be able to buy a house. That will never work if she has to pay taxes over her hard-earned money above €30,000. They put everything and everyone in a bind to keep financing their delusions and to impoverish the Dutch people. Exactly how they want it. Furthermore, we have to keep our mouths shut, let ourselves be hit in the face, and be taken from behind. Swallow lies and propaganda, and if you have doubts or critical questions, you get a file with the AIVD, which everyone already has (surveillance law and you are a suspect criminal if you spend more than €100). Roads, bridges, and dikes are about to collapse and (network) corruption is rampant... but they are going to impose extra taxes on savings the 🤬🤬🤬. Hoekstra will have secured the money of the members of parliament and ministers... (translated)

37 years after the fall of the wall, the Jetten cabinet, commissioned by PRO, introduces hardcore socialism in this country, as everyone with a bit of savings and every entrepreneur will be taxed in such a way that the country will get stuck in a jungle of rules and government greed. (translated)

Ruben is delighted because, thanks to the VVD, it is now well arranged to slap the hardworking citizen in the face. What Ruben calls "well arranged" boils down to this. Henk and Ingrid are able to save, which is already quite an achievement these days. They have € 61,692+ in their savings account, or if Henk has € 30,846+ without Ingrid by his side, then the tax authorities come. They will send a reassessment on the savings that they have already paid taxes on regarding the interest they received. And they still have to pay 36% 🥳. In short, if you do what you’re supposed to do to avoid having to turn to the government later, you are punished because it still sits in your account. (translated)

Many status holders but also asylum seekers have their own assets in their country of origin or elsewhere. They literally walk around with bank cards and credit cards from banks elsewhere in the world and often own land, a business, or a home in their country of origin. And yet they don’t get any control over this here. Not during the asylum application and not with the social services when they report there as status holders. So they are laughing off of 2 wallets. And who can blame them? No social worker makes an effort to investigate their assets. No law has been made in which they are required to provide insight and first take care of themselves with their own money. No, everything that can be collected is taken from the working Dutch. Even a small amount of savings of a few thousand euros must be surrendered to @D66 @cdavandaag @VVD and @progressiefned. (translated)

#woningmarkt #belasting #huizenprijzen

Financieel expert @PascalPaepen: "Er is iets opmerkelijks gebeurd in ons land. Sinds de coronacrisis in #Beleggen #Spaargeld #Financiën #BE

#ECB #renteverhoging #spaargeld
